Thank you to White House Black Market for sponsoring this post (and for hiring me when I was twenty one and in desperate need of rent money).
We all know that I love a reader request so when one of you popped into my DMs the other day asking for Easter dresses that “wouldn’t make Grandma cry but could also be worn again”, I had to jump on it! As a fun aside, all of today’s dresses are from White House Black Market, which is a full circle moment for me. When I graduated from college, it was common to move to the nearest big city (hello, Charlotte!) and live in an apartment with your girlfriends while searching for your first big girl job. It goes without saying that this was many years ago, in a much different economy. Anyway, I actually worked at White House Black Market during the months between graduation and heading off to my first 9-5, so I am oh so familiar with the quality and fit of their pieces!
While it’s been a decade (plus, yikes), since I worked in my local store, I always suggest White House Black Market to anyone who is looking for a classic, well made dress that will stand the test of time. It is my go-to for Easter/holiday dresses, baptism or bris attire and all things sophisticated and chic.
As an aside, I’m also proud to only recommend retailers that offer inclusive sizing and WHBM offers sizes ranging from 00-16/XS-XL. If you haven’t been to White House Black Market in a hot second you might also be surprised to know that they carry a wide color pallet and dresses from designers like Monique Lhuilliher and Vince Camuto.
I’m wearing this little number in a size 8 paired with nude, low heeled pumps (which run TTS). I would indeed wear this snakeskin print to a traditional ceremony thanks to it’s incredibly soft pattern and blush background. I love the sleeves as I’m not in any way tan and the temps are wildly unpredictable this time of year in North Carolina. Here are some of my faves for Easter, grouped by style and color! A few even have fun surprises like being reversible, secretly being pants or two dresses in one….
Someone please snag that white flutter-sleeve sheath dress, it’s just so stunning!
