Hey, hey!

Not to over-sell it but today we’re tackling something that I used to be terrified of.

Terrified and yet inspired by and curious of, so it never quite left my mind. And wouldn’t you know it, feeling deeply scared and unrelenting curiosity have always been a dangerous combination for me and so I recently caved and faced my fear.

My fear of the Body Suit.

Truly, I have always envied the clean lines and simple chic look of a body suit, but never dreamed that I should wrestle myself into one. But, when I found one with a higher neckline and lower price point, I figured there couldn’t be harm in trying.

And now I am here to say it: we should all be wearing body suits.

Seriously, the clean lines make for the most slimming top I’ve worn in years. And yes, it will accentuate our curves, but in a streamlined, sleek way that will keep you pulled in and ready to work.
In order to convince you of the body suit magic, I styled it three ways: on it’s own, paired with a layer and as a layering piece itself. Trust me on this one girls, it’s that good.
This post was written in partnership with Walmart. All opinions are my own.

For reference, my stats are:

5’9″
DD
M/L
8-10/29

Rock It:

First and foremost, I’m wearing a Large in the body suit because I’m tall and wanted to ensure that I had enough length. It runs TTS, so order the size you normally would in a top.

It does have snaps at the crotch for easy on/off and is thick enough to hide that I’m wearing a peachy white bra underneath.

I wore this exact outfit on a date night with Justin and felt really dang good about myself. I thought my waist looked defined, I was dressed for any location and, when paired with this dark denim, felt like I looked long and lean (if I do say so myself!).
I paired this look with nude heels but would also wear with my Goose dupes or flats for running around town.

Speaking of running around town, pair the body suit with a long open cardigan and you’re looking at a dream Carpool Outfit.

While we’re talking must haves, I’d like to take a second to talk about these jeans. I’m wearing the same pair of skinny, dark wash jeggings (color: Rinse) in each outfit in this post because I see no need to take them off, ever. They are high waisted with a real button and fly, but have the insanely soft feel of a jegging.
I was recently challenged by one of my followers to find a pair of jeans that I truly loved on a budget and this pair (for literally less than $20) is the pair. I gave them a thorough try out before officially recommending them and they do not stretch out with wear, wash well and stay in place.

They are officially my new favorite pair of denim

Layer it:

When we lived in Maine, I wore a thin, long sleeve tee as a base layer every single day of Fall and Winter. It was essential to keeping warm, but also if we ended up somewhere that was warm, I would need to de-layer and needed to not be naked when I did so.
If only I had owned this body suit at the time. I promise you I would have layered with nothing else. Because the fit is so slim, it prevents bunching under sweaters and because of the full fit, it won’t pull or ride up under your outfit.

Have I convinced you yet?

Here’s the deal: the body suit is less than $20 and available exclusively at Walmart (and so are the jeggings, Walmart Fashion is really stepping up their game – both pieces are super high quality and I’ve put them to the test!).
Walmart just so happens to have free next day delivery on qualifying orders, so toss that baby in your cart, try it on tomorrow in the privacy of your own bed room and thank me later. I actually ordered a second one before I hit publish on this post because I’m that confident ya’ll are going to love this baby enough to sell it out!
