Happy Monday ya’ll!
The tentative plan for this week is to take advantage of Justin’s vacation and Road Trip it to Maine! We are currently at our home in South Carolina and are thinking we just need to be in one place, together with the dog, permanently. Justin haaaaaaaates being in the car, so being on long road trips with him can be a real treat. I have to admit I was kinda looking forward to handling all 20 hours on my own, but I won’t complain about us being together for a few straight days.
I’ll update ya’ll on where we end up on Friday – but I’ll of course be Instagramming the entire time, so now is the perfect time to follow me!
So, since we’ll be bouncing up the East Coast all week, I thought this would be the perfect time to share our Wedding with ya’ll! I am definitely going to share more event design details and a different set of shots than the ones I put on my personal Facebook page and I can’t wait for ya”ll to see!

I am lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful town – Williamsburg offered a million perfect wedding venues but I knew from the start that the Williamsburg Inn’s Abby Aldridge Rockefeller House was THE site for our cocktail and reception. I wanted to spend the Day Of as relaxed and calm as possible so my Bridesmaids met me at our suite at the Williamsburg Inn to get ready. We spent the entire day there getting our hair done, our make up perfect and eating a local favorite, The Cheese Shop.
My Mother In Law made the adorable getting ready rompers for each of the girls to wear so that the day felt like we were lounging in our PJ’s – it was everything I hoped that morning would be – one of my most favorite memories from the Wedding Weekend was hearing all of my Bridesmaids laughing from different rooms in the suite at once. It was Heaven (for about 30 seconds longer and then I lost my shit about something…typical).

My engagement ring has a history – I’m the 4th generation in my family to wear it as their engagement ring. It was hand cut in 1890 and is shaped like a snowflake. Justin’s wedding band is made of gold from his parent’s original wedding bands.
