If you follow my Instagram Stories (if you don’t, where ya been!?), you know that I ditched a much requested Old Navy try on in favor of my current go-to retailer H&M.
I know many of you wanted me to hit the racks of Old Navy but I’ve just been underwhelmed with their quality and aesthetic recently. Instead, I prefer to shop the same price point with higher quality and more current styles at H&M.
Many of you don’t have a H&M store close by so I’m asking you to trust me on quality and fit until you get your first items in your little hands – and then you’ll be a convert like me! P.S. for my mama friends out there, H&M is where I snag all of my kids clothes, too! Perfect basics that last longer/through wash and wear better than other brands at their price point.
Ok, let’s get to the try on!
Floral Dress: sometimes as a tall girl, I strike out at H&M when it comes to dresses – the second I raise my arms, my butt pops out, and nobody signed up to see all of that. I am happy to report that this dress is just the perfect length – short and playful but in no way scandalous. It also comes in black and a green shamrock pattern.
Wearing Size: Large
Style With: sneakers and a jean jacket
Denim Jumpsuit: I tried this jumpsuit on at the last minute, assuming I would hate it, but oh my, I was wrong. I brought this home because it’s so easy to throw on – think of it as updated overalls, without needed to figure out a top!
Wearing Size: 10
Style With: Nude strappy heels and statement earrings for date night
flip flops and a cross body for drop off
Trench Coat: If you buy anything from this try on, please let it be this trench coat! There is nothing more iconic than a classic trench and this one comes in under $60! I am in love with the color (although it is available in pink and olive!) and the quality. The weight will be perfect for the rest of this weirdly warm winter through Spring – seriously, just buy it!

Style With: literally anything – over a dress, with jeans and a tee, work wear, there is nothing more versatile
Button Shoulder Sweater: so very soft and thin, with a great tunic length (see below photo for untucked), perfect for year ’round wear
Wearing Size: Large, def could have done a Medium
Style With: distressed denim and woven slides or with black pants for work
High Rise Denim (Raw Hem) High Rise Denim (finished hem, as shown): This denim pleasantly surprised me! It’s a high rise, straight ankle length which means it comes up over my belly button, has a leg that is not clingy but is the width of the hip all the way down and hits just above the ankle on me. The denim is thick, a bit stiffer, but will soften and fray beautifully with wash and wear.
Wearing Size: 30
Floral Dress: I love the smocked detail on the cuffs of this dress! The fabric is flowing and forgiving, with a mid calf length. Perfect for a bump if you’re rocking one! It comes in a ton of colors and patterns including a green floral that is gorgeous.
Wearing Size: L
White Chunky Knit Sweater: soft and easy to throw on, I loved the semi-crop length. It is bulky, which I love but if that’s not your vibe, be sure to size down.
Wearing Size: L, could have done a medium (check out the sleeve length)
Style With: those jeans!

Button Shoulder Sweatshirt – this sweatshirt has a shorter, boxier cut but is still long enough to keep me covered (I’m tall!). The gold buttons have great detail and elevate the sweatshirt for a slightly more pulled together vibe than my classic sweats ensemble

Style With: white jeans in the spring!
Knit Tunic Sweater: the best basic, closet staple of all time. This tunic length sweater is soft and flattering to all body types. It comes in a range of colors and is light enough that it would be perfect with shorts when the weather changes.
