Many thanks to Walmart/Walmart Fashion for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own
Ready for anther amazing swim round up? Today we’re trying on suits from WalMart and, guys, you’re going to be blown away. Seriously, if you don’t get the red one, we need to chat!
Walmart Fashion has upped the swim game and I found 4 suits that will take us from the splash pad to vacation (just don’t forget to put sunscreen under that gorgeous mesh detailing!). I’m chatting all things fit, cup support, rear coverage and sizing but Walmart rocks some serious two day shipping and free returns, so if you find yourself needing to swap sizes, you’re in luck. Walmart also makes most of their suits in extended sizing, so I’ll be linking to those as well for easy shopping.
My Stats:
5’9″ tall
D cup with not much natural lift left (thank you, offspring)
Size Large in tops
Size 29-30 in denim, depending on the rise and cut
Size Large in dresses
Consider myself to be an 8-10 overall
Let’s do it!
One Shoulder Colorblock Suit: oooooh man do I love this suit. It is so dang flattering – I wasn’t even attempting to hold anything up or in, just letting the suit do the work for me! This suit is an amazing price point (under $20) for a very upscale look. It’s comfortable, chic, appropriate to chase littles in and the color combo is stunning.
Bust: No underwire, soft cups
Rear: full bottom coverage
Shown In: Navy
Wearing Size: XL (I sized up one size), available in extended sizing here
Sizzle Shirred One Piece: First and foremost, I loved the color of this suit the second I pulled it out of the box. It’s the perfect shade of red, not too dark, bright and full of spunk. I notice the listing calls it orange – I’d say its tomato red. Secondly, these straps. Big boobies, rejoice! The straps were made to handle some weight without digging into your shoulders. The straps are wide and soft, I audibly sighed when I pulled them on. Theres perfectly placed shirring on the midsection and soft cups to hold the girls in. The leg is conservative with a tiny bit of cheek exposed, just to remind the other moms at the splash pad that you still got it!
Bust: soft cups, no wire
Rear: a little cheek, very conservative cheek
Shown In: red
Wearing Size: L, available in extended sizing here
Side Strappy High Neck: this suit is the best of both worlds – as if a Speedo and a bikini had a baby! The top is very sporty with a high neck, racer feel but the hip area has wide banded cut outs that draw the eye to the leg. It’s very minimizing to the bust and absolutely will keep you locked in. The back detail is beautiful, don’t sleep on this one!
Bust: shelf bra with soft cups, no wires
Rear: full
Shown In: black
Wearing: size L, available in extended sizing here
Mesh Insert High Neck: How’s this for a little va-va-voom! I love this suit – it’s really special, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it honestly. The mesh detail is gorgeous, especially on the sides, and the key hole in the front is absolutely sexy! I wish I had owned this suit for our trip to Mexico! As a side note: I think this would be particularly beautiful on my plus friends who rock those curves. It emphasizes what you’re working with in all the right ways!
Bust: soft cups
Rear: cheeky! but not like a Brazillian bikini cheeky, like mom cheeky, you know?
Shown In: black
Wearing size: L available in extended sizing here
