4th of July Essentials for the Entire Family

We’re hitting the road and heading up to Mamie and Captain’s beach spot, affectionately known as “The Fish Shack” for the 4th of July! 

The change of scenery and fresh air has been worth the hours on the road, so we’re taking advantage of the long weekend, filling the car to the brim and headed out. 

Everything from kid gear to festive accessories and the new off-the-shoulder-top that I can’t wait to wear is ready and waiting. I truly love partnering with WalMart because of their free 2-day delivery. I’m not taking the kids into stores yet and with a lack of childcare all around, we can all benefit from insanely quick online cart to doorstep action. 

1. Insulated Tumbler: water for them, cocktails for me, all of it cold and festive!

2. Ouchless Goggles: We are excited to try this new set of goggles that promises to keep the kid’s hair from tangling in the straps. Georgia especially is prone to tangles so an ouchless goggle option feels like a home run.

3. Watermelon Umbrella: love the watermelon print of this beach umbrella!

4. Floral Print Dress: paired with simple sandals, I love this little floral print dress for a back yard get together.

5. Girl’s Striped Romper: at $10, I love the price point and the pattern on this super soft little girl’s romper.

6. Beach Tent: This pop up tent is on my wishlist! The material is SPF 50, which I love for my fair skinned babes.

7. Toddler Popsicle Sandals : What could be cuter than popsicle themed baby flip flops!?

8. Boy’s Swim Set: A matching red, white and blue rash guard and swim trunks for under $15.

9. Eyelet Dress: This eyelet dress is perfect for a 4th of July BBQ – it’s the softest shade of blue with a square neckline and puff sleeves. I can’t wait for mine to arrive! 

10. Kid’s Color Changing Sunglasses: My kid’s have sensitive blue eyes so I’m always encouraging them to wear sunglasses – I think this color changing pair will do the trick!

11. Men’s Shorts: Men’s classic 10″ flat front shorts, available in red and blue for the 4th!

12. Girl’s Two Piece Set: a sweet blue and white set with a nautical theme

13. Waterproof Outdoor Speaker: we own this speaker and love it! It has great sound, is insanely durable and we leave ours out on our screened porch at all times! 

14. Women’s Striped One Piece: I’m a big fan of WalMart swimwear (see my try on post here!) and love their extended size ranges and comfy fit. This stripe one piece is a new fave.

15. Men’s Performance Tee: this tee does it all – with moisture wicking material, integrated cooling zones and a chafe free material, this is the guy’s tee of Summer. 

16. Unisex Rash Guard: as a mom of a boy and a girl, I actually love unisex items that I can hand down from Gray to Georgia. This rash guard has built in UPF 50+ and is unisex in style and color – I particularly love this bright blue.

17. Striped Dress: red, white and blue stripes for the win! The placement of these stripes and the button detail make the shape of this dress so flattering.

18. Red Baseball Cap: a wardrobe basic, and one that’s not easy to find, a completely decal free baseball cap! Leave it blank or have a monogram added, I love this find (available in 18 other colors!)

19. Espadrilles: I own last year’s version of these espadrilles and have been so impressed with how well they’ve held up. Bonus: they’re insanely comfy, too!

20. Men’s Star Print Swim Trunks: love a theme pattern that isn’t over the top!

21. Boat Shoes: a classic wardrobe staple for guys, this pair of boat shoes comes in shades of red, blue and white!

22. Collapsable Wagon: Nothing requires more stuff than a trip to the pool or beach – and nothing wears out my kids like being in the sun. For us, a wagon is a must, whether it’s lugging gear or babes, we’re going to put it to work! This model folds down so it fits easily in the trunk, plus it has a spot for a cooler. 

23. White Top: I now own this Scoop off the shoulder top in two colors – and the white is perfect to pair with denim shorts for the 4th!
