No need to pump this one up, I know everyone has been waiting for it!
It’s officially swim try on season!
This year, we’ll try on swimwear from Amazon, Aerie, Albion Fit and Summersalt. I’ll also try on a handful of specialty suits and we’ll snag some cover ups, too.
Today, we’re kicking things off with seven one piece swim suits from Amazon. Each suit is under $33 and the least expensive rings in under $17! I think I’ve found some really gorgeous suits this year so let’s get to it.
If you’re in the market for tankinins, rash guards or nursing friendly suits, then this is the post for you.
If you’re wondering about Summersalt Sidestroke, Sunbather or Marina one pieces, check out this post and scroll down.

My stats:
Height: 5’9″
Bust: DD
Jean size: 30
Top and Tee size: Large
General Sizing: 8-10
I consider my True To Size (TTS) to be a large/10.
Belted Swimsuit: Truthfully, I feel like a dang Bond Girl in this bathing suit!
This is the cheapest suit in the round up at less than $17 and also, in my opinion, the sexiest! I had requests this year to show options than a “typical mom at the splash pad”, so here we are.
The fabric is thicker, a cross between ribbed and waffle, which is a big trend in swim this year. The thicker fabric controls and smooths the tummy without the need for shirring or ruching, which I love.
The belt detail is a great addition – the actual belt piece is tortoise print. When you put the suit on, the belt will be very tight as you get it over your widest part. If you find that super uncomfortable, just bring the belt to the front of the suit, the look will be the same, with a doubled look, and the getting on part will be much easier.
Bust: deep v neck, small cup that is meant to keep your nips under control. This one is truly meant to show off your curves, including your chest. Thin adjustable straps can be tightened for more support.
Leg: higher cut
Rear: cheeky
Shown in: Navy
Wearing size: Large
Price: $
And now we’re ready for the splash pad! This is our locked and loaded, run after a toddler while carrying a baby, slide down the slide, swim in the waves suit. It’s super comfy and conservative with a bit of fun in the mesh detail. Straps are thick and soft and the entire torso is ruched for a major slimming effect
Bust: built in cups and shelf bra with a secure and tight hold
Leg: mid
Rear: full coverage
Shown In: black
Wearing Size: large
Price: $
This one piece has so many cute details that make it so flattering! It feels like a combo of the best parts of suits one and two above. The legs are adjustable by undoing the strings, pulling them tighter or loosening them and then knotting them back. The halter neckline meets in the back with a tortoise print ring detail and adjustable straps which make the top feel super supported.
Bust: thin cups and shelf bra with adjustable straps
Leg: adjustable!
Rear: depends on how high you pull the leg, but full to mid coverage overall
Shown In: black, circle ring
Wearing Size: large
Price: $
This one piece is so crazy flattering – it does have a deep v but full support on those ladies! Ruching across the middle camouflages the tummy area and a full coverage bottom with a lower leg completely conceals the hip and lower body. It really creates a smooth, streamlined shape on the body.
This suit is perfect for anyone who wants to minimize the hip, tummy or butt area.
Bust: deep v with a ton of support in the thicker straps. Despite being low cut, the chest feels truly locked in.
Leg: low cut
Rear: full coverage
Shown In: navy
Wearing Size: 10
Price: $
The cutest one piece in the world! Full body ruching makes for a slim torso/tight tummy and the eye is immediately drawn to the suit’s tie straps! And yes, the ties are actual ties but they are long enough to be double knotted so that a baby’s grabby hands can’t untie them. I have a feeling that this will be one of our most popular suits this year! I immediately felt amazing when I got this suit on, no adjusting, moving things around, etc, just a great fit and look.
Bust: full coverage, full support, firm cups in built in shelf bra
Leg: higher cut, but nothing scandalous
Rear: mid coverage
Shown In: black
Wearing Size: large
Price: $
This is a beautiful, chic bathing suit. It looks so much more luxe and expensive than it is. If I saw it out in the wild, I would assume it was boutique – it’s so sleek. The one shoulder detail is gorgeous in both the back and front. It makes the stomach feel flat and pulled in. I want to take this suit on vacation!
Bust: shelf bra with removable cups (that I would remove)
Leg: low cut
Rear: full coverage
Shown In: navy
Wearing Size: large
Price: $
Ending on a wild card! I couldn’t resist trying on this little side cutout number. It’s one shoulder, has a tie middle and side cutouts. The leg is high cut, with a unique back detail and I just think it’s a fun one! If you’re sick of the “splash pad” look, this is a great way take on a one piece that doesn’t push you all the way into two piece territory.

Leg: high cut
Rear: mid coverage

A solid start for the year, right??
