Welcome to Baby Gray’s Modern Maine Nursery!
I am so excited to finally share this room with ya’ll. This space has been a labor of love and now that it’s complete, I simply cannot wait to place a sweet, sleeping babe in that precious crib.
My favorite details:
If you have a sharp eye, you’ll see that there are a few hidden tributes to Daddy’s favorite place around the nursery, just so his boy hits the ground running!
I have to admit that I really did stay pretty close to our pre-set budget as far as the nursery goes. Our crib was a gift from both of our parents, making the rug the biggest investment in the room. My attempts at DIY saved us a few bucks here and there and I honestly feel a sense of pride that I made a few things just for baby Gray.
Sometimes I giggle to myself about how different I think this nursery would look if we still lived in the South…I’m sure it would be much softer, full of monograms and light shades of blue. But this little guy will be a Mainer and deserves a bold room with lots of warm textures to get him through the Winter months!

Photos (all taken in Maine by me, except our amazing maternity photos)
(used all sources in the tutorial except we spray painted the legs instead of staining)
Throw Pillow (can’t find a link online but it’s Target Patio, currently on clearence)
Champagne Bucket [similar]
Large Print DIY (a sharpie marker + the insert in the frame flipped over)
What is the paint color on the walls?
soooo diaper genie… worth buying one? or waste of money? i have been going back and forth on this one. xo jillian
It looks so good! I love it! I particularly love the little moose rocker/toy.

love the arrow print and moose pictures! awesome.
I love it!!! That rug was so worth the investment too because you can use it anywhere else in the home since it doesn't scream nursery! And the light in there is amazing!
You did a beautiful job! love those lucite bookshelves!! Perfectly complete 🙂
So cute! Great nursery for a baby boy 🙂
Ahhh I love how the nursery turned out, it's SO cute! It's totally the same sort of West Elm vibe that we'll be going for in our nursery, whether we have a boy or a girl…which is funny because I feel like my tastes have changed a lot since moving to Oregon (which I think has a similar feel to Maine)! I'm just drawn to things that are a little more natural and subdued now, and I just love how your nursery looks! All ready for baby to get here 🙂
I love all the details! Those curtains are genius and I am definitely adding that DIY to my nursery plans.
LOVE it! the book shelves are soooo cute! everything looks great! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
