I’m really excited to officially publish a much requested swimwear try on to the Olive and Tate Swim Try On line up! Get ready for the Boden swimsuit try on

Boden swimwear always makes the list of most requested swimsuit options around here and I understand why. Their swim aesthetic is clean, chic, conservative and very “meet me on my yacht”. The color options are a great mix of classics like black and white and clean patterns that truly are timeless.

After trying on four of their signature suits, I am happy to report that I think the Boden price point is well deserved. I found the suits to be incredibly well made, with thick, supportive fabric and thoughtful details.

My one complaint overall is that the legs are cut low across the board. While I prefer a higher leg line, the conservative cuts do provide full booty coverage.

Before we dive in to the individual suits, I do want to chat sizing on the Boden line.

Rumor has it that you should size up on Boden swimsuits across the board. I do not agree. I found them to be true to size BUT the suits are well made with thick fabric and heavy compression. They do feel snug when you’re getting them on but once the suit is adjusted and in place, the thick fabric hugs and supports the body.

I chose to try on both long torso and regular length to see the difference and if you are tall or have a long torso, go for the long torso option. Each suit I tried on was a size 10 but I did appreciate have the extra inches on the length.

If you’re between sizes, I would size up, but otherwise, order your true size. You will feel the tighter compression when getting into the suit but they are very comfortable for all day wear and extremely flattering.

And yes, I did put one to the all day test in Mexico! I kept this suit for my personal collection:

Corsica V Neck Swimsuit

Swim Try On 2022: Boden Swimsuits on a size 10 body
For me, this is the signature suit of the Boden line up. The neckline is striking and simple, really ideal for any bust size. I love the black and white combo but was worried the white might look flimsy or cheap. I was so wrong. The suit is double layered and structured with boning at the sides of the bust to keep it in place. The straps are adjustable and crazy comfortable for all day wear.
This style also comes in a tankini and a bikini, both with the same fit characteristics.

Bust: sewn in cups with thick, comfortable straps

Leg: low rise

Rear: full coverage

Shown in: Ivory Colorblock

Wearing size: 10L

Price: $$$

And, because I was needlessly worried that the white option may be unflattering, I also ordered the black for comparison. It is just so very flattering, I cannot recommend it more. The straps are so comfortable and the midsection so slimming. I felt very Jackie O in this cut!

Porto Swimsuit

I love the cut of this suit! It’s very supportive in the bust and keeps all of your parts in just the right spot. It comes in two different patterns, both of which feel timeless and elegant. This particular suit has the Boden “body support lining” in both the front and back of the suit to smooth and support, which I personally appreciate!

Santorini Halter Neck

Swim Try On 2022: Boden Swimsuits on a size 10 body

While I typically avoid a halter neck swimsuit because the straps become so heavy and uncomfortable, this halter may just be the one to change the game for me. The fit is so, so comfortable with almost a bandeau cut to the suit and the thickest, softest straps ever. I love the bold color placement because it highlights just the right spots of the body. If you’d prefer a sold color, you’re in luck, this suit comes in a ton of colors and patterns.

Kefalonia Halterneck Suit

Swim Try On 2022: Boden Swimsuits on a size 10 body
Talk about perfectly placed detailing! The contrast trim on this suit makes it insanely flattering – drawing the eye up to the bust and face, and away from the tummy. I chose to try this suit on in the regular length and not the long and I will say that I think that impacts how low the cut looks on my bust.
The suit is a halter but my torso length is pulling down on the neckline. While it is the most exposed in the chest, Im absolutely forcing the suit to work harder than it needs to!

Bust: sewn in cups with support shelf
