Today is a super fun day because I am guest posting over at Kelsea’s Overwhelmed by Grace!
Kelsea was sweet enough to ask me to whip up a little something about Travel and I jumped at the chance to put our recent day trip to Bar Harbor to good use. Head on over to check out our rainy trip and see the pics – it’s all very Maine-like!

While you’re here, I’d like to share with you an email that I received from Husband as I was traveling to visit him last week

Subject: Crazy


Wanna hear something crazy?

The sun comes up up here at like 4:38AM right now… and it doesn’t go down until 8:22PM. 
Its sunny here all day!
In the winter its opposite… the days are super short. Comes up at like 9am, goes down at like 3pm
Its like Alaska!

He thinks this is all science-y and cool.
I think it’s traumatizing.

Seeing as we only have a few short months (weeks??) until we are overtaken by complete and total darkness, right.this.minute. seemed like the perfect time to head to Acadia National Park. I have to admit, it’s pretty cool that something so gorgeous is just a short drive from our new home.

And, since we’re being honest, I also have to admit that there are 3 ways to get to the summit of Cadillac Mountain: Bike, Hike or Drive.

Guess what we chose? Yep. We drove it.
Sorry I’m not sorry.

Gorgeous right?! They weren’t kidding when they said that Maine Summers were to die for….I just hope the Maine Winter won’t kill us….
